The Love Verb by Jane Green

In fact, this book was not at all selected by me. It got passed on to me through some friends. Since this was not a genre that I usually read I kept it with me for quite some time before reading. But once I started I was just taken aback with the story. It was really touching, sad yet beautiful. It actually makes you travel through all the important characters. I fell in love with all of the characters. Even though it will make us quite emotional it will make us feel good as well.

This was a book which I kept back to the shelf 2 years back when one of my friends told me this is difficult to read. And bought the book after 2 years and started reading. It was a whole new experience. The picturization is beyond words. I was happy that I started reading once I got all 3 books in series. It would have been a painful waiting otherwise. We feel so anxious to read what is going to happen next. The interpretation of mythology is great.

It was a good read. I was happy I picked this book. I thought it to be a very emotional read but it was not extremely emotional. We can read through the emotions and the events without feeling very overwhelmed. The overall story is very touching and thought provoking.

I was moved by the story of Ahalya. It is not an emotional one but we feel bad about what happened to Ahalya. I loved the writing and the way the story is told

A very beautifully written book about refugees and how their journey is. The need to get away from their country and the journey to safety and finding a footing in a foreign place… The characters Nuri , Afra, Mustafa, Mohammed … everyone makes us feel so much emotions..
