Everyone was talking about how amazing this book is, how the plot twist will break you. And honestly, they were liars.
The story was ok. It wasn't anything great or outstanding. Just ok.
The plot twist did not break me. I wasn't expecting it, but it wasn't unexpected.
But I gave this book 3 stars because of the writing style. I hated it. It was wired and confusing and messy. So annoying to read. I had to go back multiple times and read something again to understand what was the meaning.
Definitely won't be reading any more of her books.

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

History books and folklore tales aren’t what I usually go for, but since I’m trying to add more diversity into my reading list I thought I’d give it a try. And I really liked it.
I love a great and strong female rulers and this is exactly it.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This lighthearted novella is exactly what you would expect. It’s cute and romantic. I really liked the characters, they’re lovable and funny. They are “full” and realistic. I definitely will be reading more of Isabel Hansen’s books.
