[EN] I wasn't as engaged in the story as I was hoping to be but it's definitely exquisitely written and the story itself (both fictional and factual parts) was intriguing and heartbreaking.

[PL] Nie zaangażowałam się w nią aż tak jak miałam na to nadzieję, ale jest wspaniale napisana, a sama historia (zarówno elementy fikcyjne jak i nie) były intrygujące, ale też łamiące serce.

[EN] Neither horror, nor gothic. Someone tell me what the point of this book was because I only finished it hoping there would be some payoff at the end and got absolutely nothing.

[PL] Ani horror, ani gotycki. Niech mi ktoś powie jaki był cel tej książki, bo skończyłam ją tylko dlatego, że liczyłam na jakikolwiek payoff, a dostałam jedno wielkie nic.

[EN] Interesting but I wish the author didnt mention some facts only to say "but this has been well-described elsewhere". I also want fan of the bits where he was talking directly to the reader and trying to appear more likeable or something.

[Pl] Interesująca pozycja, ale szkoda, że autor ma tendencję do wspominania o niektórych faktach tylko po to, żeby zaraz powiedzieć "ale zostało go już gdzieś tam opisane". Nie byłam też fanką fragmentów, w których zwraca się bezpośrednio do czytelnika, bo wyglądało to tak, jakby próbował przekonać nas, że jest fajny i mamy go lubić.
