ERIN. I swear every book gets better.
I cried, laughed, was pisssseddddd, and swooning.

As a single mom, this book truly hit me so deep. Every is so so relatable and I saw so much of myself in her. I shared the same fears as her, the same joys and the same sadness. I feel like if you’re a single parent and an avid reader it is a REQUIREMENT to read this book.

It felt like the biggest warm hug after the worst sadness. It gives the perfect amount of fall, family and just joy with the added tension and sadness through a major plot line / set of characters.

I was absolutely SOBBING when Richie did his big one at about 87% (IYKYK, i try to keep my reviews as spoiler free as possible) - as a single parent to a man who is quite similar to Richie, if not worse, this is absolutely one of my biggest fears and the way her found family just swooped in to back her up warmed my heart.

AND NASH’S PART OF THE EPILOGUE ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I was tearing up. I absolutely loved all these characters.

It’s giving sound family, second chance romance, small town romance, single mom / reformed bad boy, and ALLLLL the fall vibes. 🍁

I really felt like this book gave the vibes of a fall warm hug with a cup of cider on the side. I really enjoyed the overall vibes of this book. It felt a bit repetitive in the third act portion of the book. The conversations felt very much the same of Matt wanting to tell Vinnie & Liza putting it off. I was actually shocked when she said they’d been together for 6 weeks - obviously since it was Christmas we know that but that’s such a long time to be hiding a relationship from your closest family members.

Overall i really enjoyed it - the narration was done very well and it featured some of my favorite audiobook narrators.

It is giving - fall romance, brother’s best friend, accidental/surprise pregnancy, insta-love, forbidden romance

I would absolutely read this author again, and would recommend this for those looking for a more lighthearted fall romance.

these are always such a fun, spicy time.
they’re short, spicy as hell and keep you entertained.

if you want something that isn’t too in depth, retelling of some of your favorite traditional stories and just is an overall fun time these standalones are it.

It was giving it’s always been you vibes but i also wasn’t super enamored by their love story, but i still had a good time. I wish we would have gotten more on Peter v hook v tink.

but overall i had fun & can’t complain.

I really wanted to enjoy this! i thought it would be  fun ending to the summer read, bur it had a lot more negatives to me than positives. I felt the chester’s were not nearly fleshed out as much as they should have been. They felt very surface value making it hard to connect with them or root for them. They also had such a toxic relationship. TONS of miscommunications and fighting and the HEA didn’t really feel like a HEA to me because i didn’t believe that they would really even blast.

I also feel like (i’m sorry) i just finished this book less than 1 months ago and i can honestly say i don’t even remember much of it. It just felt very lack luster to me and that it needed more love on the little details that really just make readers just fall in  love with the story and characters.

as always - this is just my opinion, reading is subjective and if you loved this book that’s absolving wonderful!

I haven’t read a Falon Ballard book i haven’t loved & this one is so exception. I truly just adore her writing style. You truly root for her characters and relate to them. I really loved both of our MCs.

This particular book was the perfect mesh of Christmasy goodness, romance & shoutouts to the bookish community for both authors and readers.

I found myself laughing, fuming & crying with them main characters. They had depth and i loved that there wasn’t a third act breakup.

THE GRAND GESTURE. It was so special to just them and so so special. I would have been a puddle of tears!

Christmas Romance
Second Chance Romance
Romance Authors
Forced Proximity

I will always pick up Falon’s new books - and this one just validated that for me!

i had a great time with this!  It was fun, sexy, flirty, the angst and mutual pining was building and it was a quicker read so it kept my attention the entire time.

Best Friend’s Brother
Found Family
Forced Proximity
“Enemies” to lovers
Touch her and 💀

I really enjoyed both Gabriel & Mel. I found myself really loving the MCs. When Gabriel showed up at Mel’s date i was laughing so hard. I had tears with them, laughs with them & anger with them.

I really hate a third act conflict and the fact that this was a shorter book, and there was still a third act conflict was annoying but it didn’t make me hate the book.

I would love to have see Zaria get her own book - could be simultaneous timelines on her relationship with Dominic!

I would definitely return to this author in the future!

WHY do i not hear more people talking about this book? It felt like a hug on a spring day! 🌸

I really enjoyed this story, it was lightheaded and sweet. The meet cute starts on page 1. & is so sweet - who doesn’t wish they could meet their man on the kiss cam 😂 The story just progresses at a super enjoyable rate. It had depth & the characters had growth, but it still stayed lighthearted and fun. I was giggling, laughing and stressed with the characters the entire time.

The grandparents literally were the cutest things i’ve ever seen. & DUKE’S PARENTS i was giving major side eye too but when Nora went off on them i was CHEERING her on.

I really loved both characters and found them super relatable - I mean heck Nora was STRESSED about saving money but also trying to pay for student loans. Who isn’t stressed about that right now?

The narration was super well done and didn’t leave anything to be desired. It added to the story & made me not want to stop listening.

This is a very underrated romance & more people should be picking it up!

I was really excited to jump into the world of Christmas Romance, it’s a fun place to be! While i found this story to be cute and very heartwarming it felt like it had alot of info and characters and information but at the same time nothing was totally dialed in / flayed out. I felt like i wanted more in depth on the characters to be able to connect / relate to them but i didn’t feel like we got that!

I was disappointed with the third act conflict because i didn’t feel like they were at the point in her relationship for her to feel valid in getting that upset that she didn’t know.

I liked the overall idea / plot of the book. It definitely gave hallmark movie vibes - but i just wanted less fluff and more important / relatable details.

It gives the found family vibes & i absolutely loved that.

overall, i didn’t dislike it but i don’t think it’s a book i’ll ever think about again.

WHY AM I KICKING AND SQUEALING AT THE HEAD BETWEEN A SERIAL KILLER & HER NOW EX FBI HUBBY?!

wow. listen - this entire series did not miss for me. I absolutely ate every second of it up. It doesn’t have any extra fluff to weigh it down.. it throws it all at you and holds your attention ever single word.

She avenged, she got her happily ever after and he stood on BUSSSSSSINESSSSSS.

I will absolutely read this 5 part masterpiece again.
Was it the greatest piece of literature? No. BUT it was a ride that i THOROUGHLY enjoyed and can’t wait to ride again 👏🏼

I have absolutely ate up all of the books in this series thus far. They’re short, bingable and absolutely tense. You’re sitting on the edge of your seat the entire time.  I absolutely think this has been my favorite one thus far. It kicks you off in the chaos and just gets more chaotic as the time continues.

I am EAGER to find out how it all ends. RUNNING to book 5!

PLEASE check trigger warnings before diving into this series - it is really dark, graphic content & your mental health is the most important!
