I love a good friends to lovers, brother’s best friend romance!!! Throw in single parent trope and I am hooked!!!

Flip was a great follow up to the first book and I really loved reading more about Trey and Erin. Trey was so freaking sweet and amazingly patient with Erin as he knew she was scared of change and commitment and relinquishing some control in her stressful life. As for Erin, her struggles were real and relatable and I liked when she was able to just let go and let Trey control things (even if it was just in the bedroom most times lol) for a bit as she definitely needed a break from always being on alert to fix or do something.

Only reason for 4 starts instead of 5 is that I wish they resolution to their “conflict” (coming to same terms on their relationship and how to move forward) would have happened before last couple chapters.

I may be in the minority but I am ALL FOR the “only she can save me” trope where the small, younger fmc who others overlook happens to be the one that is able to calm the beast of a man everyone is scared of. I liked Sergei when he was mentioned in previous books as I love a psycho OTT anti hero (therapists look away

Not bad not great. I think it took a little long for Adrian to learn he was an idiot to believe that Valentina wasn’t actually in love with [bad guy] and she was in a forced and very abusive relationship for past 10 years. Also no where near enough groveling for how he treated her before finding out imo. Like yes he thought she betrayed their connection when his dad sent him away but he claimed he loved her before he was sent away and he knew how scared she was of the dude so why would he just accept it all as was told to him??? Also wish Valentina’s time in the abusive marriage wouldn’t have been so glossed over once she told Adrian.

Even with that said, I still give 3 stars because I am always a sucker for super possessive MMC and over the top love between main characters. I liked the chemistry between two mc’s, even when they hated each other thinking the other betrayed them.

I actually read book 3 first and loved it and I think I’m going to go back and read book 1 before going to book 4 even though this one wasn’t an all time favorite for me. Not every book is going to be a 5 star and that’s okay; sometimes we just need a book that scratches the itch of possessive mmc and over the top love lol.

Basically if you like the stereotypical alpha MMC and strong FMC with a tortured past and a splash of some mafia drama thrown in, you’ll probably be good to read

I liked the idea of this book a lot; just not really the book itself (if that makes sense). For one, I'm not a fan of OW/OM scenes. While yes, the FMC's profession doesn't really leave room to avoid that - I still wasn't biggest fan of how it was written. & the MMC's scenes with OW just made me not want to get attached to him.

Also, really wish I would have realized all 12 (TWELVE) of the books in this "series" is the same FMC and same overall story - just broken up into like 12 100-200pg novellas. Besides getting people to buy 12 of your books instead of 1-3, there was zero reason to publish this way in my opinion. I grabbed this first one during a Stuff Your Kindle day and usually when I like the first book I'll go and then buy the next one or two in the series to finish the story if they are heavily connected. But 11 more books (one not even out yet)??!??!! Ya no thank you. Plus, reading each synopsis for the additional books makes it seem like this story goes 30 different directions and based on reviews - the miscommunication/secrets between main characters still isn't resolved by the most recetly released book (#11).

Unless you are good with buying 12 books that don't keep with a consistent couple and have FMC getting with every man to appear within the pages, and are okay with nothing really being resolved for 9+ books, then I do not recommend this at all tbh. Only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because if not for there being 11+ books to follow this one and the OM/OWD, I did like the connection and chemistry between the two main characters. If there was one or two, standard length (250-375) page books for this couple with a completed ending, I'd actually probably really enjoy it.

I am usually a giant fan of dark mafia romances but I guess I do have a limit after all - who knew!?

If you liked this book, happy for you! But this just definitely wasn’t for me. MMC has ZERO care that obviously there’s some past issues with forced sex with FMC and basically painfully forces her on wedding night all because he’s pissed that she isn’t grateful he is trying to make her feel good too????

AND then later he thinks showing her how he’s “good” to the girls he traffics unlike “bad traffickers” that she’ll realize he’s not that bad and no longer be upset that he traffics women and girls and I just couldn’t find any way to continue the series after that (I did finish this book cause I hardly stop in middle and dnf). I just felt for FMC the majority of the book with how isolated she felt and I guess I am more of an anti hero (monster to everyone but her) kinda romance girly
