Picking up right where These Hollow Vows left off, These Twisted Bonds sees Brie grappling with Sebastian’s betrayal & the uncertainty of her future. It is a thrilling, thoroughly satisfying conclusion to the These Hollow Vows duology.

Last holiday season, I read several of the Christmas Match books, a series of holiday novellas set in Regency England. A Wish for Father Christmas is the first in the series (although, the books do not have to be read in order), & overall, I enjoyed it. I had a couple of issues with it, but all in all, I found it to be a feel-good, easy-to-read holiday story.

It is not often that I prefer a sequel to the original, but such is the case for The Viscount who Loved Me. From the characters & their dialogue to the romance & overall story, nearly every aspect of The Viscount who Loved Me is superior to The Duke & I. It is an engrossing, highly entertaining book that is a must-read for fans of historical romance.

In this finale to the Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy, a tenuous alliance between the chimaera & Misbegotten is formed in order to take down a common enemy. Despite its promising start, this book ends up disappointing, owing to its hurried conclusion.

This sequel to Daughter of Smoke & Bone is not as captivating as its predecessor, owing to issues with pacing & perspective. Nonetheless, it is still more entertaining than not, & it is worth reading to see what has befallen the characters after the events of the first book.

Set during the Gilded Age, The American Heiress brings to life the era in all its opulence & excessiveness. With the exception of the ending, which is sadly rather lackluster, the plot is compelling & filled with mystery, intrigue, & well-crafted characters. It is the perfect read for fans of The Gilded Age or Downton Abbey.

A Sleigh Ride Kiss is a delightful holiday novella set in rural, Regency England. A sweet romance, idyllic setting, & a happily-ever-ending: it has all the trimmings of a cozy, feel-good read. I have written a more detailed review of this book on my blog, which you can read by clicking the link in my bio.

This book has everything that a well-crafted fantasy should have: an intricate world, strong characters, a captivating story, a swoon-worthy romance, & a touch of escapism.

This first book in the Bridgertons series starts off strong, but problematic content later in the book casts a shadow over the entire story, all but obscuring its merits.

In this final installment in The Bargainer series, Des & Callie find themselves racing against the clock to uncover the identity of the Thief of Souls & stop him from enacting his final plan. With action, mystery, & romance to boot, Thalassa truly did save the best for last with Dark Harmony.
