Girls Night by I.S. Belle
3.0
I received a complimentary copy of Girls Night through LibraryThing’s Early Reviewers program; my review is voluntary. I found it hard to get into this book, but I think that's a me problem more than a book problem as I'm finding YA books just too young for my liking. The highschool cattiness and the teenage discomfort is something that I don't exactly wish to re-live in my life, so I found myself reading a chapter, and putting the book down and coming back a few days later. The writing was good, the story flowed and I did really like the concept of these young girls using a "fight club" to figure out who they are and where they fit in.

Kohen Fucking Osman everybody.
I am literally obsessed. Avina St. Graves has immediately become an autobuy author. This book was darkly beautiful and I can't wait to read anything and everything Avina writes.

I love Matthew Perry. Full stop. No extra explantion needed. But this book, this book broke me.
Chandler was always one of my favourite characters on any TV show ever and learning more about his struggles I watched through season after season of growing up watching Friends, I have so much more respect for him. I laughed, I cried, I reflected, and ultimately, I learned. Rest in Paradise, Matthew Perry, you will forever have had an impact on my life.

Did I know I needed a zombie horror romance in my life? No.
Can I imagine my life without it now? Absolutely not, I need this like I need air.
Bell writes descriptive scenes that paint a picture of grotesque horror, and others that truly make you think of the circle of life. There are scenes that have you going "damn, that FMC be sassy, I like her" - and scenes with a gentlemanly MMC who you just want to get to know. A touch of gore, a touch of FMC self discovery and romance, add in a dash of loss and you've got the mixture for an absolutely killer story that I devoured episode by episode.
The way Bell uses words is beautiful, lyrical, and easy to obsess over. Can't wait to see what she does next.
5 stars, if I could give more, I would.

Can I give more stars?
This book was everything I wanted and so much more.
The atmosphere, the writing, the concept, the characters, the setting, the Creature! *fans self* I am absolutely swooning. I am feral for Silas and Alina and I am dying for book two. I need more of this series more than I need caffeine in my system, and that's saying something.
MOARPLZ.
