Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James
5.0
This was my FIRST erotic novel and man did i love it. YES it is 10x better then the movie but it's so fascinating watching your characters come to life! This book has a reputation of being porn but honestly it's a love story that just includes the sexual pleasures. If you want to start an erotic book but HAVEN'T seen the movie yet, I recommend. If you watch the movie first, it's going to be harder to read.
Abandon by Meg Cabot

I read this book back in 2014 but this book was one of my first romance books and i've been hooked on the genre ever since. I plan on re reading this book because I remember loving Pierce and John's connection. All I know is this is a MUST read. John just reminds me of a big tall muscular man, and his attitude is charming, funny and dark.
Bad Girls Don't Die by Katie Alender

I was sorry to see the story end, but then realized there were two more books!!
I'm all for a good ghost story, I find them thrilling and entertaining because there are so many different background to why the ghost became said ghost. But lot's of books portray the ghost as innocent or wrongfully convicted. THIS book brings some action and some real intense exorcism type of vibe, with no demons or anything.
Of course the main character has issues at high school as well but I love that she becomes best friends with someone she thought hated her or she disliked because her social status, when in real life anyone can be friends. We learned a little bit of the ghosts history in this book but I'm excited for the next ones as I believe they will be more intense and will keep learning new history of all the characters.
A good new twist on a ghost story, will leave you with chills!

Deep and Dark and Dangerous: A Ghost Story by Mary Downing Hahn
5.0
This book and the Old Willis Place are the first books I actually read front to back and understood completely. The mystery behind the girl is crazy and I had no idea until the end! It's suspenseful will keep you reading until you've finished in one sitting! I think Mary Hahn does a great job with her ghost stories and I intend to read them all, even if they are intended for younger adults!
Mary: The Summoning by Hillary Monahan

I love horror, always have. Bloody Mary is something you do as a kids to get some adrenaline rushing. But it's so interesting to read a story that talks about who bloody Mary really was. I love that she was a mean ghost, of course she had a tragic past but she was brutal to all the girls. Monahan does really well at getting you close to the main character. All the occurrences that happened were unpredictable and crazy.
I bought this book with the 2nd one in it as well and I finished it so quick! It's scary and different! Good read for all ages!

The Haunted by Danielle Vega
5.0
I feel like it was rushed so it ended abruptly and there should have been more to the story. BUT I did love the book very much. Danielle Vega is one of my top haunted authors because all her other books such as merciless and survive the night were twisted and left me shocked with the ending.
Haunted is a lot like other ghost stories but the ghost is much more violent which I enjoy a lot more then ghost who tap your shoulder and disappear. Wheres the thrill in that? This ghost is angry and has a reason. But what I weirdly love most about this book is the relationship between Hendricks and Eddie. It's honestly gave me goosebumps when they flirted, which is silly yes but I don't care!
I love the ending because it reminds me of Game of Thrones where they kill main characters to make it seem more realistic and unpredictable!

The Invited by Jennifer McMahon

The novel's strengths lie in the mystery of Breckenridge mystery and one of the main characters Olive. What I thought was going to be a ghost story (which it still is) turned out to be a whole mess of mysteries past and present. Olive is my favorite character because she is strong willed and curious. I unfortunately do not like Helen and Nate who moved into the old Breckenridge house. Their marriage to me seems wrong and they do not click at all together.
The book is a little slow at first but a little over a 1/4 of the way it starts pulling you in. It was a great book and I STRONGLY recommend.
But Jennifer McMahon has a certain way of putting so much detail into her books without being wordy and it made me read some of her other books that I absolutely loved as well!
