For the people who love historical romance but want to read about something other than a Duke or the gilded age (listen I love those too but variety is good). Loved this story of Mackinaw Island during the development of the Grand Hotel and everything that it has become. The hero and heroine are wonderful and flawed and just have so much chemistry. Loved it!!

Is there a certain amount of cheesiness to this story? Absolutely and it’s what makes this such an adorably sweet YA Christmas romcom. The main characters are frustrating at time, but oh so good and charming. I loved the images the author created and Ariel & Trey’s  relationship is darling.  Loved it, loved them, would read a sequel about them and their families and friends.

A lot of my feelings with this book are direct opposites but I think that’s because it does such a good job of being cozy after the more tense scenes. I absolutely LOVED the narrator and enjoyed listening to it while I followed along with the text. I occasionally listened without the text and it was great but personally, for me, that’s my preferred way to listen to an audio book.

Absolutely delightful series that I can’t wait to continue!
