I haven’t felt this giddy over a book in a long long long time!! I stayed up till 1 am to finish it! (I typically am asleep by then).

I feel like anything I write will contain spoilers so I’ll just say this.

Do yourself a favor and pick up Spark of the Everflame. It’ll be the best choice you’ve made in a while.

Ali Hazelwood did such a fantastic job with this book. It’s definitely my favorite of hers.

The characters, the plot, the COMMUNICATION. For that alone, it’s a 5 star read. Even though Rue has her moments where her communication isn’t great, it makes sense for her character and does not fit in the category of “oh my god, just talk to each other”. Eli is a dream and Tiny is just the perfect little detail (heh).

Her transition from first person to third was so seamless that I didn’t even realize it was happening until the last 50 pages.

If I could give this book 10 stars I would. The characters, the plot, the plot twists!!!! It was all so good and I finished the book feeling so excited for the fourth!

The epilogue?!?!?!?! I am stressed. The next book can’t come out quick enough.

I absolutely adored the characters and setting of this book. I’m a big fan of Uncharted and Lara Croft and while this book really only has a few things in common with those, it had the same fantastic vibes. Adventure, stress, attraction, and a 10/10 love interest. I also loved that it wasn’t set in modern times but was more historical.
