Too much of the book was spent saying “I’m such a bad guy. Look at how bad I am.”
There were good parts : Mac trying to be her own person. Thankfully she wasn’t the typical rich girl character who used her parents money while complaining about said parents. But instead she worked hard and really did pave her own way in life.
Cooper was a good character but I felt like too much time was spent saying how he was a bad guy and making him do the typical bad guy stuff. But he had his sweet moments and times where you could see that his story was one full of change.

I’m a big fan of the Uncharted series and I had really wished there was more romance in it. So when I read the synopsis of Raiders of the Lost Heart? I was sold, immediately.
I found the pacing of the book really good. Not too many slow parts but enough that you could fully enjoy the relationship developing between Ford and Corrie.
The ending of the book seemed like it was a set up for a sequel but I have zero idea if that’s in the authors plans. But know that if it is? I’m buying it immediately.

There were definitely some twists but none that kept me super engaged. The writing was good and I did enjoy a Pride & Prejudice retelling but I wish it had been more gripping. I also wanted more moments between Lizzie and Darcy but that’s not a huge deal.
Overall, would I recommend this? To the right person, yes. Would I reread and add to my top 20? Nope.

Finally, a book where every other chapter isn’t about a miscommunication but two adults communicating their feelings. There’s some moments with it but that’s reality.
