Shay Zucconi's fiancé has just called off their wedding when she receives a call that her step-grandmother has died and has left her a tulip farm. However, there are two conditions. First, Shay would need to move to the small town of Friendship, Rhode Island; the second, unfortunately, is to get married within a year. When Shay arrives at Friendship, she's shocked to see Noah there who had wanted nothing more than to move away from this town. Even more shocking is when Noah offers to marry Shay when he finds out about Shay's predicament.

Noah's loved Shay back in high school but he's been too shy to do anything about it. Now, years later, he's a single parent to his niece and he's got his hands full running the family business. A high school should be the furthest thing on his mind. But we all know, "The heart wants what it wants, or else it does not care"

I'm so GONE for Noah. Daddy Bread Baker Noah Barden is now at the top of my all-time favorite book boyfriends!! He's grumpy, sweet, bossy and also a great businessman. I love how he kept calling Shay "wife" 🥹 and well, don't get me started on the sex scenes because 🥵🥵

"I don't give a pickled fuck how or why we came to be married. You are my wife, If you need some fun, you'll call me I'll be the one taking care of you. I'll give you anything you want, including properly prepared gin and tonic. If you can't accept that, you're welcome to divorce me now."

I also loved Genie, Noah's niece, who cracked me up every time she appeared on the page.

Now, let's talk about Shay. Shay is a kindergarten teacher and she goes through so many things from being left at the altar to inhering a farm. I loved her group of friends who are behind her no matter what and I loved bi-rep as well🫶 Shay deeply wants a family of her own but is apprehensive of getting married so soon again -- and a fake one at that.
This has a lot to do with a fear of abandonment that stems from her mother not paying much attention to her and constantly moving schools before she had the chance to make friends.

Overall, I laughed, cried, swooned, and err...felt lots of other feels while reading In A Jam!! This is easily one of my favorite books of this year.
