Thrilling conclusion to an awesome story. The characters developed well, the world building was expansive. It was over too soon though. Maybe that's why there are spin offs and filler novels alongside, that explore the different keys.
Anyway, loved it!

And this is where I'm stopping till the TV show catches up. So far, I've really enjoyed reading this. It's... Different, not in a bad or good way. There are character developments here that are not in the show, and the show also has A LOT that isn't in these first 3 volumes.
I'm not sure which I prefer, as they both stand on their own two feet, but slightly leaning towards the TV show as the fight scenes are a lot more heavy hitting (pardon the pun) when animated.
Looking forward to the rest!

There was a very short introduction explaining how we went from creating smart robots, to a universe Where every organise life has been destroyed by said robots.
And with nothing left to destroy!?... They all got jobs, set up families, and unwittingly took on characteristics of their human creators.
Short exposition out of the way, we are thrown right into the action, as we now discover there might actually still be life in the universe, and they're hostile.
D4VE, can finally leave his boring office job, and do what he was made for (literally).
