How can a painful story have such a beautiful sweet telling!
I am trying to write a review without spoiling anything as its very important to get into the story without knowing the truth of Elli's past. Its so nice to read a story that deals with the reality of anxiety and fears, and how our childhood haunts us, even if everyone tries to make things better!
This book deserves so much more love.

I am from Cyprus and our family was involved in humanitarian missions to Romanian orphanages. I still remember the girls that came to stay with us until they were adopted by other families or returned back to their own families. I was too young to remember the how they came, what had happened to them, but this book took me back to memory lane and opened a beautiful conversation with my mother who, despite the fact she was a single mother raising 2 daughters she became a Foster mom for 2 girls that needed this the most.

Ps. To be honest is one of the rare occasions that I feel that the title and the cover doesn't help this book to get the hype it deserves.

Was this book interesting? Yes. Where the plot twists unexpected. Yes. Was I thinking WTF? Yes.
But I found it extremely overhyped, with huge plot holes and not enough of character development.
I mean how exactly does Millie fall in love with a particular person? Where are their meetings, conversations, stories? How do lots and lots of things make sense.
Yes, it's worth the read and it's a nice quick story but it had so much more potential.

Let yourself fall in love, a love that can also be true or just another fairytale, a movie love that you can see being a true one as well.
Because truth being told we run and hide from our feelings, from our truths and most of the time we don't give the others the chance to explain to say their own side of the story and this will lead to misunderstandings.
Read it, listen to it. Let it make you want to fall in love again.

3.5⭐
While reading more books of Christina & Lauren, the cowriting becomes more obvious.
The first half of the book, is a happy relaxed and even a bit funny rom com that could easy see becoming a netflix movie.
And then the chaos comes, like reading a totally different book, with a bit of a stupid plot, just to fill pages and pages. It ruined my feeling good time, it made no sense and was even considering just leaving it unfinished.
Why oh why, didn't they just continue with a few more cheesy scenes and happy tones?

I have a love-hate relationship with CoHo's books. They are the best thing to listen while at work but every time I finish one, I say never again... And yet go back to one more...

Confess follows another "love" story, with the POVs of the male and female character changing in every chapter, which I really like and find interesting at books. The storyline is good, until it becomes a bit creepy when you come to an end and realise when and how it began.
The characters are building nicely, and I really like Owen, until I find his actions and the backstory of him and Auburn more weird than anything. I like Auburn at the beginning but then, I just want to scream at her and realise that most of CoHo's female characters are weak and just depend on the male character to defend and rescue them.

Finishing this book, I was left at the middle. Not knowing if I liked the book, or just wanted to light a fire and dance around it.
Overall I gave it a 3 because at no point, even when I was so bored with the cliché storytelling, I couldn't DNF it. I wanted to reach to the end and find out how their story started.

OMG!
Can someone steal for me the next book in this story?
Loved the story, loved the characters, loved the unpredictable plot twists! Loved it all!

This book I couldn't let go. I ended up reading until 3 am two nights in a row as I couldn't put it down. I love it when dark romance is involved, when you aren't sure that you actually want a love story to happen but all of a sudden everything makes sense! And yes I know it has trigger warnings and some parts of the love story may be controversial but please! Sometimes we just need to enjoy something and not trying to find the controversial parts in it, just to burn it!

Where do I start? WTF did I just read...

Do I like the way CoHo writes? Yes, a lot, and every book of her has me hooked up until the end. And that's why I can't put a 1 star for this book.

I started this as an audiobook and couldn't stop listening to it. Until the plot twist, where I just wanted to scream and was exiting at the way the book was going.
And then came the second plot twist and my excitement deflated and then the ending...
I just sat there, looking at the wall, wondering why the heck I waisted 8 hours of my life.
Manipulation, lies, etc are what you are about to read and a lot of weird sexual scenes which made me feel very uncomfortable.
The ending was so disappointing, you can't just forgive a person like that. Its not possible...

I ll start with a suggestion, even if you've read this book, go find the audiobook and enjoy Natalie Naudus, narrate it. Enjoy the voices, the sensation, everything!

And now the story, I am not sure what is not to love in this book. How is written, the story, the characters, even the second characters have a story to follow and are interesting. I loved this book, beginning to ending. I loved the idea behind it, the how everyone blends and the love, the love that makes you do a thousand things for the ones you love.

Yes, I ve read about the controversial issues about the book, but truly they don't even count across the way that this book is written.
