I was unsure on this book first, hating its resemblance to beauty and the beast not knowing the back story behind the inspiration. I stuck with it though and I'm glad I did as it seemed to get better the more you read, by the time I cursed Fayre for leaving the court of spring I was relieved she had decided to return. The writing seemed to get better as it continued more engaging and relatable that by the end I was craving more.
