If you have been following my socials since January, I have been obsessing over Marvel Studios' Eternals and been getting myself into the comic book side of this world. It has been interesting in getting know the characters I know from the MCU to getting to know their comic book versions. While this was only a short introduction into this world, I have plenty more to delve into.

Here is another book that was on my "12 Books by 12 Friends" challenge list and I enjoyed this retelling of the King Arthur / Merlin tale. After thinking about it for a bit, it definitely gave me BBC Merlin vibes which I am 100% totally fine with because I love that show. I liked how they dealt with the Emry being in disguise and what happens when she is found out. It felt genuine and not too out of the box in the realm of fiction. Definitely a book I would recommend for those who love retellings of classical tales.

I became obsessed with Outer Banks back in October of last year and when I heard there was going to be a book set in this world, well I knew I had to get it. Even though it is prequel book to the series, I liked the little nods to Sarah Cameron and her future with John B and the rest of them. Her kindness in helping them out of situations or making eye contact with John B tied in nicely. However, my heart broke for JJ. I felt so much for him at the end even though I figured that was what would happen. But at the end of the day, this book was nice insight into John B and JJ's friendship and explains a bit on why they are so close. Definitely a pick for those who love the show and want to read more about our favourite characters!

My first graphic novel / comic book that I am reviewing on my blog! I first discovered that Stranger Things had a comic book series out when I attended comic con a few years ago and they had a special edition of the first issue. I later found it in the graphic novel form and really enjoyed the insight into what Will was doing in the Upside Down since we did not see any of it on screen. I am also a lover of anything that expands the fictional worlds I love, especially if it is book form.

This book was kindly recommended to me by a friend for the “12 Books by 12 Friends” challenge that was trending on social media. As someone who is not the biggest fan of contemporary novels that are set in real life with no fantasy elements, this was a nice little shake up for me. I found the book to be a very quick and easy read. The story itself was very cute even though about halfway there was a sad moment for our main character during her senior year of high school. If you love the friends-to-lovers trope then I would recommend this book. The romance was very simple and clean and of course it ended in a happily ever after!
