The Beach by Alex Garland
5.0
I loved this book from beginning to end! I seen the film before reading this but the book definitely didn’t disappoint, I couldn’t put it down.
Rush Home Road by Lori Lansens
5.0
Another great read By Lori. I read this as a young adult and again as a Mother and its even more emotive. It’s hard reading about Sharla’s neglected upbringing but its so worth it to learn about Addy’s life. The unforeseen relationship between the young and old is beautifully written here. One of my favourite reads.
The Wife's Tale by Lori Lansens
3.0
Not one of my favourites by Lori but still a decent enough read. I didn’t feel as connected to the character and story as much as her other books.
My James: The Heartrending Story of James Bulger by His Father by Ralph Bulger
5.0
This is such a hard read but lovely to know more about James as a baby and his personality. My heart is broken for his family. R.I.P James, always in our thoughts.
Hope: A Memoir of Survival in Cleveland by Amanda Berry

A hard read on an absolutely unthinkable experience these girls went through,
Brave: How I Rebuilt my Life After Love Turned to Hate by Adele Bellis

Adele is so inspirational. Its traumatising to read about what happened to her but her strength is amazing,
I Let Him Go: From the mother of James Bulger by Denise Fergus
5.0
Such a heartbreaking read by Denise on the awful events of her sons murder and the aftermath. This woman is absolutely incredible and the whole of Liverpool is and always will be supportive of her.
They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera

Wish I could read it again for the first time, heartwarming whilst heartbreaking.
