I loved this series! This book is actually my favorite of the original four in the series, which I know many people disagree with, but my reasoning is because this is the only book where Jacob is only a friend. As it always should have been.

This was amazing!! I didn’t like that there was technically cheating, even though the beginning relationship was unfit (you’ll know if you read it), but otherwise the plot was very different and intriguing.

I loved the 90s vibes!! This was definitely an interesting book. I didn’t like a certain character from the beginning, but I didn’t expect that person to be the one who did it.

After falling in love with the Letters of Enchantment duology, I had to read the Elements of Cadence duology, and of course it was amazing. Rebecca Ross has such a magical feeling with her writing style, as if you were really in her fictional world experiencing everything like a character. It’s beautiful and I can’t wait to read the rest of her work!!

I probably should’ve read this before The Reappearance of Rachel Price, not because it has anything to do with it plot wise, just because I like to try to read an author’s books in release date order, but whatever. Anyways, once again, Holly Jackson did not disappoint, I loved every moment of reading this. It certainly had an interesting plot twist that I did not expect. Kind of basing off of AGGGTM and TRORP, I thought it could’ve been anyone but the actual culprit.

Unfortunately, I didn’t like this book. That majority of the story felt slow and boring with attention to unnecessary details. The ending did surprise me and was good, but overall this did not feel like a suspenseful thriller.

I’m sad to say that I did not enjoy this book. I’ve heard such great throng about Freida McFadden’s books, but her writing style is just not for me. I didn’t like that the story had an unreliable narrator. I mean why would you be lying in your head about your thoughts and what you did? That just doesn’t make sense to me.
I also felt like the story gave no closure and nothing was actually resolved. I guess it is realistic in the way that the “bad guy” gets away with it, but the fictional world is for delusion, so I prefer a happy ending, or at least an ending that ties up any loose ends.

Holly Jackson is my auto buy author. I will read anything she writes and love it. This book is amazing. I did not expect that suspect to be the culprit. A very interesting plot twist and ending. Holly Jackson is the queen of mystery/thriller books.
