I picked this up as a way to continue my love for monster romance. I absolutely loved the Stars Hollow mixed in with Halloween Town vibes this book gave for their small town of Ever. I was smiling ear to ear with learning all about the monsters, how cute the entire gossiping townsfolk can be, and the three sisters that gave us the Sanderson Sisters rise again. I am more than thrilled there will be more books to this series and I've already purchased this book and the next from Hazel Mack as I want these on my shelves immediately!

I only read this book because it was a my book club's pick and I am saddened that I can never say I never read a Colleen Hoover book. This book being marketed as a romance and put in the romance section in bookstores is a literal crime. I knew going into it that it wasn't as I read enough reviews to know but my goodness. I read this on 2x speed just to be able to finish it in one day. I could never recommend this book with a good conscious to anyone and will make sure I don't read anything else by this author.

I'm so sad to have finished this series but so happy I read this book. I read this entire series via audiobooks and it's what got me into reading more audiobooks these past two years. It's hilarious, romantic and overall have become a comfort series of mine. Elizabeth Knowelden brought this series to life so well and made the entire read a joy. I can't wait to read India Holton's next book, The Ornithologist's Field Guide to Love.

This was a verrryyy slooooowwww burn romance that left me wishing the couple was truly together before 80% in. The banter throughout the book was hilarious and the intriguing plot kept me going. The ending did feel a bit rushed though and I'm not sure if I will continue on in the next one.
