The first book to give me a paper cut from turning the pages too fast. I was on the edge of my seat. Black girl magic with real world problems. The grey characters and the sense of “It’s going to get worse” was in every chapter and I ate it up!!!!

 This is not what I was expecting. I really enjoyed the character development and the world building felt simple in a good way. This is what I mean by a light fantasy with a good plot.
