The Replay is a second chance romance between Dom and Mariana. These two had a whirlwind romance in college before life and parental expectations got in the way. 6 years later they find themselves both single and working for the Seattle Strike. They spend so much time fighting each other and fighting their feelings. Can they work through their history and get back the love they once shared?

These main characters both start the story from a place of anger and pain. Their history was pretty tumultuous which made them work all the more to get back to a place where they could respect each other and rebuild their relationship.

Mariana was always under an immense amount of pressure from her family and had to make sacrifices in order to follow their dreams. Unfortunately that meant leaving Dom. I loved watching her growth to stand up for herself and telling her family what she wants and needs, even if it doesn’t line up with their goals for her.

Dom was so sweet and devoted even when it hurt him to do so. I loved seeing him learn he is worthy of love and seeing him stand up to Mariana’s family to defend her.

While these two had communication issues their physical chemistry was never the problem. These two are HOT and hate sex is basically their love language

Thank you to Leonor Soliz for the opportunity to read the e-arc.
