This was a cute small town romance with a tab bit of spice. Fisher, a NY chef, meets small town nice girl Sage. What a fitting name for a Chef's romantic interest. I loved it! I think this is a perfect little romance for anyone to pack in their vacation bag for a light, easy read this summer!

I liked this writing style, and Tarah was a new author to me that I will definitely be reading more of!

Thank you for the Gallery match for the physical copies for my bookclub and to #MacmillanAudio for my audio version.

Wow! Check trigger warnings if you have any!

I went in blind with this book. I didn't read the synopsis, just knew some said dark romance. This book had everything. Suspense, terror, torment, sadness, love, intense sexual scenes that at times made me cringe and others made me swoon.

I definitely have a new book boyfriend and I adored seeing how these characters grew and found a way to heal and love.

This author wrapped up every question I had with a gorgeous bow. I felt this plot line was fast paced with excellent execution. I cannot wait to read another book by this author.

I read this book for this month's Southern Fiction Book Club I am in, and it did not disappoint. This book was so atmospheric and took me back to my days of growing up in SC.

This book had family saga, mystery, and a little romance. If you liked Where the Crawdads Sing, you would like this one.

The love between a father and son was superb, and the found family with side characters warmed my heart.

I read and listened to this, and the narrator was fantastic. The southern draw was a little much for me at times, but his expressions of grief, remorse, and confusion were so moving. I teared up a few times.

This was a solid 4 for me. I did feel the pace of the book was medium throughout until the last few chapters that just felt rushed to me. The closing chapter was spot on, and don't forget to read the authors notes.

I will definitely read more by this author!
