I thought I would really enjoy this book and hoped that there would be more discussion on her struggle with Endometriosis. However, I found that there were many chapters on her anxiety and existential panics which were confusing, drawn out and sometimes quite dull. The first ten essays in this book had me laughing out loud, however.

This book wasn't what I expected.. and not in the good way. It felt like reading a high school essay based on the celebrities that had been selected. The premise behind the book was brilliant which is the reason I bought this book. I felt that it didn't hit home enough and felt like BuzzFeed gossipy type writing.

I was expecting a feminist manifesto styled memoir from a famous kick ass female comedian. Sadly this did not live up to my expectations and instead felt like a memoir with lots of important bits of her life missed out. She addresses that she is not comfortable addressing or publicly sharing certain parts of her life, but it ended up just seeming a bit all over the place.

I didn't take away as many life lessons or affirmations from this as I'd hoped.
