this feels like the sinner and haunting adeline’s love child. i find myself simply not in that headspace at the moment. it’s like there’s some unspoken competition to write the darkest, most twisted romance out there. i understand having some dark elements to spice up a story but cramming as many traumatic, taboo, and painful elements into one book is excessive and really does a disservice to the book itself. focus on one and really flesh it out. more credence, less the sinner.
