Summary
After finding out that we are not alone in the universe, Captain Anara and her crew comes back. But these events lead to an invasion on earth by a group of aliens on Mumbai. Everyone thinks that the crew of Captain Anara is the cause of the invasion. To know about the fight and how they get out of this mess, you have got to read the book.

My Review
This was an introduction to Kumar’s version of the future earth. It was nicely done. How those space adventures led to the alien invasion on earth, in Mumbai. First book was about finding answers to our questions. The second book, however, explores India and tells about how India developed faster than other countries. Writing style and grammar was simple. Nothing improved in the story nor was there any major character development, maybe because Kumar is still introducing us to his version of future? Well, I hope the upcoming books will be more awesome.

HOW SHOULD YOU READ THIS BOOK?
It is a light sci-fi read and fast paced. Read it in one go with a cup of tea

Summary
Story is about 3 best friends, Neil, Chinu and Baba. Somehow these three characters look like a rip-off of the main characters of the movie “Three Idiots”. Neil unknowingly saves a girl from attempting suicide. And then for months he tries to find out about that girl(Avani) because he is in love with her.

My Review
First of all, this book is not good for your health, LOL. Too cliché, college campus, hostel life and road trips. Adding some hindi curse word doesn’t make this book modern literature. Seems like author wants to be another Chetan Bhagat. Book is like an Indian soap opera continued for 200 pages. Main protagonist of the story is so annoying and that girl too, whom he falls in love with. Before Neil Avani was in a relationship with a boy because her friends forced her to be with him. I mean, WHAT? Who does that? And that boy is too deep in love with her, though Avani feels nothing towards him but for some reason is still with him. There are so many annoying characters like this in the book. Which does not make any sense.

HOW SHOULD YOU READ THIS BOOK?
NO. Do not read this book. Re-read harry potter instead.

Ashwini Bhatt is known for his popular novels like Othaar, Faanslo, Aaska Maandla, Katibandh, Nirja Bhargav, Angaar and Aakhet. He was born on 12 July 1936 in Ahmedabad, India and died on 10 dec 2012 in Dallas, Texas. He was also known for being a novelist, actor and an activist.
His books mostly belong to the drama, thriller and mystery genre. This book "Aayno" contains Bollywood drama. Story starts with the mystery of lost man Vijay Joshi, who just disappeared in thin air. Ketan, his best friend, is the main suspect of this case. And then story picks up pace with the journey of Ketan and Madhavi (Ketan's wife) to Jashod's old castle. Which has so many hidden mysteries.
This book is well written, that might seem like a cheesy Bollywood movie's script. But I enjoyed it very well. Fast paced story. You could read it in one go. Although I liked this author's other book "Shailja Sagar" better. If you are into Gujarati literature do check out this author.
