This was a very imaginative story that takes place in a town being gentrified by YUPPIE's. I enjoyed learning about the background of the main character along with the town. With the author being so similar with the town helped add to the authentic feeling of the story.

This was a really good look at the life of a young college age guy struggling with his sexuality. As someone who has been there i found it really relatable.

This was a really good group of short stories all related to the same location with some of them having reference to the other stories.

I found this book to be rather dry and long winded. There was way to much background on the multitude of characters. The research on the area and some aspects of the state and town are way of base from reality. My thoughts are that the story could have been completed in less than half the time t actually took.

This was an amazing and reflective story of struggle. I am saddened that the author had to experience these struggles in his life and with his family. The fact that things like this happened and continue to happen are disheartening.
