The Dating Dare is a fun, witty, and lighthearted book with characters you can’t help but love. While this book is slightly insta lovey Tara and Seth were such cute characters that I didn’t mind, I loved the discussions about following one’s passion while also not being afraid to leave room for love.
The only downside of this book is sometime the dialogue felt a little cringey because of certain phrases characters used, therefore it took me out of the story. But this book still had a lot of heart and a swoon worthy MMC and a romance that was absolutely adorable.

While fascinating this book is mainly a detailed history of Lincoln’s life, presidency, along with John Wilkes Booth family; and how both families have an over lapping history prior to Lincoln’s assignation. If you are going into this book under the assumption that you will learn haunted history of the White House and the séances that took place within it, you may be left feeling a bit disappointed.
While yes the spiritual practices of Lincoln’s wife and various mediums and occult practices are discussed within this book, it’s not nearly covered as much as the discussion of Lincoln’s and Booth family history, along with Lincoln’s presidency and how he got there. If you are wanting an in depth history of the two and their families this would be a great read however if you are wanting haunted history this might not be the read for you.
