We All Looked Up by Tommy Wallach

"You tell me. Do you think it's better to fail at something worthwhile or, to succeed at something meaningless?" I loved this book I don't see many books like this one in my opinion it's a modern take on the breakfast club told in more detail the character development is done beautifully I was rooting for for Andy and Anita's relationship from the beginning Andy's character development specially is done very well and he just blossoms in the last parts of the book I would like to think that Anita had an influence on that though I do wish the whole karass made it to the end none the less Their stories blended so well with each other and became such unique individuals as well as friends I hope we get a sequel to this book so we can see what happens after Ardor and in their lives

I really enjoyed this book I love how it’s broken down into parts and each one has a different meaning and perspective. I really enjoyed how the author made it seem like she was talking directly to you. There are quite a few poems in here that invoked a lot of thought and poems in here that left a mark on me.
Every Day by David Levithan

This was a very different YA read I loved that something was written from a perspective of one person portraying many different people. 'A' seems to know who they are as a persons but much of their identity remains hidden and who they are is told through how they live thorough others peoples lives. It was interesting too see so many different people, their lives, and how the lived brought together as one, while this book has some great aspects to it there were a some that just were not as great. The Character Finn in this book I feel could have been written better the whole aspect of who he is, is mostly defined by his weight and is looked at in a way of being undesirable especially when he is interacting with Rhiannon. Another flaw in this book that was hard to bypass (and this might just be my personal opinion and feelings) but when A is in the body of a transgender person (Vic) I would have liked the language surrounding who he is to have been a bit different. I would have wished for A to have explained who Vic was better and maybe have a portion in the conversation about what Vic's proper pronouns were and should be and maybe tried to get to know him a little better. Overall I enjoyed Every Day and felt like it was a much different take on a YA read and how the YA genre and Fantasy genre can mold together very well.
What Did You Eat Yesterday?, Volume 1 by Fumi Yoshinaga

This was my first introduction to Manga and let me just say Fumi Yoshinaga did not disappoint. What did you eat today? Was funny, lighthearted, and all around just an amazing read. The drawing style was simple yet detailed and the dishes described just made your mouth water, one of the best parts of this manga to me wasn’t this dishes but the banter between Kenji and Shiro it honestly mad me laugh out loud (literally), I cant
