You guessed it, I’m locking this in as one of my favorite reads of this year AND of all time. 

ISAIAH & KENNEDY ARE SO PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER & I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. THE WAY THEY WERE WILLING TO GIVE UP EVERYTHING TO MAKE THE OTHER HAPPY & LIVE THEIR DREAMS??!!!? 

Isaiah’s relationship with Kai, Max & Monty MAKES ME CRY MY EYES OUT. Especially with Kai & Monty, they’ve been through so much & would do anything for the ones they love. And the found family relationship with Zanders, Stevie, Ryan, Indy, Rio, Miller, Travis & Cody- yeah I’ll cry right now. 

The way the ENTIRE BASEBALL TEAM always treated Kennedy with nothing but the respect she deserves & always gave her her flowers AND THEN HAD HER BACK AT THE END 😭
Also Monty’s relationship with Kennedy?? We love a supportive father figure 🥺

I actually can’t emphasize enough how much I love this series. If you haven’t read it already, go do it right now. This is a comfort series FOR SURE. I saw myself in so many of the characters. Don’t ask me to choose which book is my favorite because it’s a 3-way tie between The Right Move, Caught Up & Play Along. 


Yall know I am so excited for Rio’s book, but also so sad it’s the final book in the series 🥺🥺 

Now I’m going to go listen to Obsessed by Mariah Carey & cry 🫶🏽

this was such a beautiful story 😭 I loved every minute of this oh my godddddd I can’t get enough of this series 

IDC if it’s only the 11th day of the year, this is also locked in as one of my favorite reads of the year & of all time. I am so serious!!! The way Miller brought the fun & joy back into Kai’s life and he kept her grounded??? THE WAY MILLER CARED FOR MAX?!? I’M IN SHAMBLES 

I do not get baby fever AT ALL but after reading this shit??? deadass I’ll remove this IUD right now

OOHHHH MISS LIZ YOU KNOW HOW TO GET ME EXCITED FOR THE NEXT COUPLE and the way she incorporates the previous couples & expands on their storyline in the current book just further adds to my love for these characters. I AM LOVE IT

On a scale of 1-10 this is a certified TWENTY! 
I don’t care if it’s only 8 days into 2025, I’m calling it now - This is easily one of my favorite reads of the year and of all time. 

I love Indy & Ryan’s story so much, this was so beautiful to read. They are so adorable & so funny & balance each other out perfectly. the quiet love??? MY HEART
I am so obsessed with these fictional characters. This was so tender & so heartwarming, I’m in love 🥺

THE SIGN LANGUAGE??? BYE that shit had me CRYING every time. That was so sweet 

Liz Tomforde, after 2 books, MISS MA’AM you just joined my auto-buy author list. 

Can’t wait to read Kai, Isaiah & Rio’s stories.

I LOVE HOCKEY 🏒 ROMANCES !!!!!!!!!!!! 

Zanders & Stevie’s banter was so damn cute & hilarious 
“Are you following me?” AAAAAHHHH 
THE TENSION. THE PINING. Zanders was OBSESSED from GO. The softest warmest cutest babygirl ass MMC ever.

Stevie’s relationship with her mom was sooooo relatable 🫣 I loved Zanders & Stevie’s growth throughout this book. I could relate to each of them in different ways. 

This book reaffirmed why I hate the 3rd act breakup tropes, MY GOD that was so hard to get through. Totally understand Zanders reasoning behind it & his trauma but I just wanted to wrap that stupid gold chain around his tatted neck TIGHT until he got it together 😤

Listened to the audio of this & I think I would’ve cringed less if I had just read it. 
No shade to the audio narrator, she did a GREAT job, I just think some of the corny dialogue wouldn’t have stuck with me as much. 
I enjoy Karina Halle’s books, they’re easy to read, interesting stories with LOTS of spice. 

LOVED getting to know more about the vampire lore and Absolon & Lenore’s characters. 
Idk if I’ll read the 2nd book in this series, but I’m def gonna read Wolfe & Amethyst’s story in Nightwolf 🤭 

This is a stand alone series but it’s interconnected with Blood Orange & Black Rose.

I was lowkey in a reading slump & this cured it for sure. 
I need more books like this! Immediately one of my FAVORITE reads of 2024 & should be on your must reads for 2025. 

The plot was so interesting. I was on the edge of my seat and couldn’t put this down! In the best way, this was creepy, seductive & thrilling. 

HIGHLY recommend listening to the SWALLOWED playlist by Meg while reading, the vibes were immaculate ✨
