Lessons from Madame Chic: 20 Stylish Secrets I Learned While Living in Paris by Jennifer L. Scott
5.0
What I loved most about this book is that it simply reminds you to constantly live the best life ever. Some things are a little over the top like cleaning in a silk shirt but the reminder is still there. Use the best of everything. So often in life we only use our best clothes shoes perfume decorations eating food going places whenever we have company and want to impress others. Why not impress yourself every single day. That's what I loved most about the book. Every page was a constant reminder to give yourself your best.
The Gray: A Relationship Etiquette Study by Estelle, Enitan O. Bereola II

I've read the authors book Gentlewoman and it was excellent. I had high hopes for this book. From the moment I started reading to the instant I finished I was so invested in the story in how it paralleled with moments in my life. We all have moments of the Gray. This book shows those moments and some moments we are afraid to talk about. Excellent book.
The Outward Mindset: Seeing Beyond Ourselves by The Arbinger Institute

While I agree the book is more basic in nature one thing is for certain it gives you PLENTY Of real wild examples on how people missed the mark realized it and made changes for the better or worse. It consistently reminds you throughout the book to constantly look and understand others and the priority versus looking and thinking of yourself. Giving to others more than hoarding for yourself. The book may seem basic to some but most people are still having issues grasping basic concepts and applying them intentionally.

I knew that once I started to read the book I would be able to see and make parallels with the characters and people in my life. What I didn't expect was to realize how damaging I was to my own life and to those in my life. Excellent book. This book made me open my mind to see a side of me I didn't know existed.
