There are 2 books in this world. Good books and fun books. This was neither. This was a mistake that TikTok sold as a good idea. It needs massive editing, massive wattpad smut vibes. It also gave weird beauty and the beast retelling vibes at the beginning and then just kinda didn't address it again.

Description:
I was supposed to kill Owen James, not fall for him .
In my defense, it had been a stressful day. My best friend almost died, so when our arms touched briefly and I felt like I'd been struck by lightning, I didn't think anything of it.
Nor did I think that we were doing anything more than a casual hookup. Because everyone casually hooks up with the werewolf they're supposed to kill, right?
Now he's saying I'm his mate, and every time I reject him, he looks like a sad puppy.
And every time I'm with him, it feels like my body is on fire, and everything is right for the first time in my life.
I'm a werewolf hunter, though, and he should be my next target.
Review:
I found this book to be rather mediocre. While it had its moments of spiciness, I was left wanting more. The characters had some depth, which I appreciated, but overall, it felt like the story rushed through everything, leaving me desiring a more extended exploration of the plot and characters.

Smut is the plot and I’m not mad about it. Although the dynamics of the book made me want more plot heavy I still enjoyed this Halloween erotica.

I liked it, it was more of a fun book than a good book. I think it bothered me the way Ava was so okay with how Link was (at least her inner monologue said that most of the time) but then her actions were not. It also felt like it was all just one big miscommunication troupe and that was annoying as hell.

I had the absolute privilege to read this book for book club. I really enjoyed this book, I liked that it is really fast-paced and I love the duality of the men's personality. It made me giggle and kick my feet. It was so cute! The dog was funny but then it kept focusing on how pervy he was and that was weird.
Deadly Little Secret by Laurie Faria Stolarz
4.0
"Deadly Little Secret" is an intriguing and suspenseful young adult novel that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. With its engaging plot, well-developed characters, and a dash of romance, this book delivers an enjoyable and thrilling reading experience.
The story centers around Camelia, a high school student who becomes the target of an obsessed stalker. As she tries to uncover the identity of her tormentor, she finds herself drawn to the enigmatic and handsome Ben, who harbors secrets of his own. The tension builds as Camelia navigates the dangers lurking in her life and unravels the truth behind the mysteries surrounding her.
Laurie Faria Stolarz's writing style is engaging and keeps readers hooked from the beginning. The pacing is well-maintained, with suspenseful moments and surprising twists that propel the plot forward. The author successfully creates an atmosphere of unease and mystery, making the book difficult to put down.
The characters in "Deadly Little Secret" are well-crafted and realistic. Camelia is a relatable protagonist, with her fears and vulnerabilities making her journey all the more compelling. Ben adds an element of mystery and intrigue to the story, keeping readers guessing about his true intentions. The supporting characters also play their roles effectively, adding depth and complexity to the overall narrative.
The romance in the book provides a captivating subplot that adds another layer of excitement and emotion. The chemistry between Camelia and Ben is palpable, and their interactions are filled with tension and longing. However, some readers may find that the romance takes a backseat to the suspense and mystery elements of the story.
While the book keeps readers engaged and guessing, there are moments when the plot feels somewhat predictable, and some plot twists may not come as a complete surprise. Additionally, there are certain loose ends that could have been tied up more effectively, leaving room for further exploration in future installments.
In conclusion, "Deadly Little Secret" is a solid young adult thriller that delivers on its promises of suspense, mystery, and a touch of romance. Laurie Faria Stolarz crafts a compelling story with well-drawn characters and an intriguing plot. If you enjoy fast-paced mysteries with a hint of romance and a touch of danger, this book is worth picking up. Prepare to be captivated by Camelia's journey as she uncovers deadly secrets and confronts the darkness lurking in her life.

Killing Calm: Salvatore Brotherhood MC Book One by Haley Tyler
4.0
Let me start with one word: obsessed. "Addie and Bash: A Dangerous Love" is an exceptional book that had me hooked from the very first pages until the satisfying Epilogue. The story revolves around Addie and Bash, former acquaintances from high school whose paths cross again later in life. Bash has transformed into the formidable "Prez" of the Salvatore Brotherhood MC, while Addie is a barista with an unyielding personality and a knack for self-defense.
What sets this book apart is the author's meticulous attention to detail, which allows readers to vividly visualize each scene and fully immerse themselves in the story. The Prologue provides valuable background information, shaping Addie into the resilient and empowered character she becomes. As the book progresses, their initially tumultuous relationship blossoms into one that readers will eagerly root for.
One of the standout aspects of this story is the strength of Addie's character. Unlike many romance novels where women are often portrayed as damsels in distress or submissive figures, Addie breaks the mold. She takes control of her own life, fearlessly standing up for herself and even leading the MC on a mission. Her independence and determination make her an inspiring and refreshing protagonist.
The book offers a well-crafted storyline, seamlessly blending elements of romance, action, and steamy encounters. The author strikes a satisfying balance, ensuring that the narrative progresses at a pace that keeps readers engaged. The inclusion of intense intimate scenes adds spice to the story without overpowering the plot, leading to a gratifying happily-ever-after.

Unperfect by Susie Tate
4.0
This is the first book I've delved into by Susie Tate, and it certainly won't be the last. Max's story captivated me, and I eagerly anticipate reading about his little sister soon!
Mia Lantum, using a pseudonym, finds herself homeless, injured, and almost penniless when she lands a job as an IT tech support at an eco-architectural practice owned by Verity Markham and Max Hardcastle in Bournemouth, a picturesque English south-coast seaside town.
Max, a bold and grumpy architectural genius from the North, initially misjudges Mia as a teenage, emo outsider despite her nearing thirties. Underneath his intimidating exterior, Max is kind and caring. Mia's injuries are no accident, but when she falls ill, Max becomes her rescuer.
The characters, from sulky teenage stepsons to gruff architects, caring doctors, quirky vegan Reiki practitioners, and surly pub landlords, come to life vividly on the pages.
I can't express enough how joyful it is to read a new novel by Susie Tate. Her quintessentially British characters, with their quirks and real-life issues, deeply resonate with me. I couldn't put this book down, reading it late into the night and finishing it by lunchtime the next day. My only regret is that I'll have to wait for Yaz and Heath's story. For fellow fans of Susie's books, we also get brief glimpses of Kira, Barclay, and Sam.
In short, I absolutely loved it, loved it, loved it.

Breeding with Bigfoot by Siggy Shade
4.0
Honestly, I really enjoyed this more than I should have. It was honestly funny, sexy, the lore of Bigfoot got a little weird tho. I am also confused how at the end of the book they can communicate while she isn't pregnant but that's about the only plot hole I noticed. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to experience Siggy Shade and lives where BigFoot festivals were a thing because then you'll look at life a little differently lol
