This whole thing was chaotic? Did I want to DNF it? Yeah, but I hate putting a book in my DNF pile. Usually raunchy TikTok suggestions turn out well but this one let me down.

It was very cliche with events that just don’t happen in real life and even the dialogue was awkward at times. That dum-dum scene had me checked out but wanted to finish to watch the chaos unfold.

This is the only book in the series that I’ve read and I found it based off a blurb from TikTok. I was not expecting to find what I did and I was not disappointed. The entire story was captivating and enjoyable to read, especially if you like some of the “love at first sight kind of cliche” stories. I’m typically a fantasy reader so stepping into this one was pleasant. The characters were like-able and I LOVED reading the inner dialogue from the FMC.

Okay Katee, why is this series getting hotter and hotter?

Electric Idol focuses on Psyche (Dimitri’s daughter) and Eros (Aphrodite’s son). Hes been ordered to kill her on Aphrodite’s orders and it all spirals from there. I could not get enough of these two and honestly liked their story more than Hades and Persephone. Eros’ whole “I hate the world and everyone but her” persona and Psyche’s take-no-shit-from-haters attitude gives me all the butterflies.

I’m not sure I can even figure out what to say. First, I’m so glad to see diversity written into a book, especially being the FMC and not a character that gets thrown in here and there. She’s truly one of the first strong FMC that I’ve read for a while and not a “I’m strong but still a damsel” kind of vibe. She’s a badass. The enemy to lover burn is a nice one. It’s not too soon but doesn’t drag out too long. It felt natural.

I honestly can’t wait for the next one!
