Fun, Quick, Lighthearted. If I hadn’t read this as part of group I probably would hate it a lot more but instead I just found it funny. The plot was interesting but the romance felt forced and there’s a lot of loose threads. Felt like it was supposed to be a series.

Loved the first book loved the sequel. A great continuation of the story and further builds the world of scythes. The idea of an AI overlord is handled really well in book and the struggles of each of the character were written so well. Each of the actions and emotions in this book feel tangible.

Suffice to say that Goddard is the most recent in a long line of scythes who look up into the night sky and see not the stars, but the darkness between them.
