Maybe this just Isn't For Me, but I did not find this enjoyable at all. An easy, breezy read, this felt like it was trying really hard to be Emily Henry's Happy Place mixed with a lecture towards millennials to not work so hard. It felt overly cheesy, I didn't get the sense of depth of friendship that similar books have within the friend group (like Happy Place), and I had a hard time believing these characters were actually 35. I know that we tend to act similar to the age we meet friends at, but I think this would have been much more believable if the characters were 23. I could easily see this being someone's beachy, summer read, but it's not mine.

Thanks for NetGalley for the ARC
This American Ex-Wife: How I Ended My Marriage and Started My Life by Lyz Lenz

Did not finish book. Stopped at 24%.
I don't love the memoir + social commentary format and the social commentary portion seemed more like than just facts on facts with not a lot of analysis or nuance (it seems Lenz wants everyone to get divorced no matter what - I get it, her ex husband is trash but 🤷‍♀️)
