WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. HELL?!?!
i can say that i didn’t enjoy this as much as fourth wing… i felt it was way too long (found myself skimming a good bit of it) and wasn’t a fan of violet & xaden’s back and forth arguing in this book. i wish they would have stopped fighting so much and strengthen their relationship/bond. it feel like the ending would have been so much better if that had happened.

will i still read books 3-5 ABSOLUTELY!!

andarna as a sassy teenager is my favorite! i loved her snarky remarks. and i LOVE when she told violet how she waiting for HER to hatch!! my heart was just so happy in that little moment.

liam coming in to help violet 😭😭😭 WRECKED ME!!! he will forever be my favorite and i hate that he was killed off so soon.

that ending KILLED me!! i knew something bad was coming but was NOT expecting that! very curious to see where the story goes from here!

Oh my heart… to read Doms story was just the perfect ending to this journey. It was a little long winded at times, and I found myself skimming through some of it… but the last 20% had me fully engulfed. And that last chapter… ohhhhh man the tears that fell. I will forever be a Dom girl, he had my heart and I am so happy to have this book to help us all understand his darkness and the love he had for Cecelia. I will always think of Dom and Cecelia when it storms outside 🐦‍⬛🖤

Oh my god. Oh my god. Ohhhhh my GODDDDD!!!!! Everything I could have wanted and then some. High Fantasy + Vampires + Hunger Games vibes… yes please! Was not expecting the plot twist, loved the little bit of spice (and man was it SPICY) orrrr the heartbreak, BADASS female main character with daddy issues, fuck around and find out + touch her and die, slow burn, enemies>to allies>to lovers, forced proximity… it was just so much in the perfect way. I don’t want to say too much more bc I feel like you just need to read the book for yourself and fall in love with the characters and story! If you loved Twilight, ACOTAR, Hunger Games you will love this! Excited for the next book!

Oh this huuuuurt!!! I’m reading this series following “The Romantic” order so I knew what was coming but I wasn’t ready!!! Even with having my heart ripped to pieces I truly enjoyed these Novellas. I loved learning more about Celaena’s origin. She’s such a badass and truly one of my favorite characters ever. // I am such a slut for SJM’s writing. Like GIRL CAN WRITE. I’m never really bored and I love that I am always sucked right back into this story no matter how long it has been since I read the last book. And man oh man does she know how to rip my heart out, stomp on it, chew it up and spit it out and I still will be a slut for her.

I had such high hopes for this. In the beginning it gave me Red Band Society vibes and I was excited bc I loved that show… but the more I read the more it just fell flat for me. Was it heartbreaking!? Absolutely. It just felt very overly written. Like the author was trying to make it deeper than it needed to be. I felt myself rolling my eyes at some of the dialogue in this, as many others have stated, reading like a quote on a Pinterest board. I just wish I could take away the over the top dramatics and read just a beautiful, sad, love story about a group of friends living and surviving and dying together. I found myself just scanning paragraph after paragraph of nonsense. It was okay, not my favorite but I just walked away from it more bored than sad.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 18%.
Oh lawd this was so boring!!! I wanted to love it but oh my goodness I just cannot get into it. I think a lot of it is I am struggling with the language and tone of the storyline. I’d rather read something that draws me in instantly than waste my time with this book.

Lisssssten… I’m not ever going to kink shame anyone bc what turns you on is totally personal… but like this was WAYYYY too dark for me. **PLEASE READ THE CONTENT WARNINGS IF YOU ARE THINKING OF READING THIS BOOK*** I had a really hard time reading the s*x scenes and ended up just skimming majority of them and just reading the plot. I mean some of those s*x scenes had me questioning if this book was written by a man and I had to remind myself this book was indeed written by a woman. The story itself was good… wasn’t great but held my attention enough to get through all 600 pages. Although A LOT of it was very over the top and I hated how far ahead the author liked to skip ahead in the storyline at times, for me it just left some big plot holes. After all the hype I saw about it I just expected more and it fell flat for me.

*sigh* this book… this whole story just gives me all kinds of good feelings. I finished the first book two days ago and inhaled this book in a day. I just had to know answers from the last book. While I enjoyed the first book a tad more this one was also enjoyable seeing how Salem and Thayer grow together. I love how this book ended and where the story lead us. Thayer man, he is for real my current favorite book husband. Almost too perfect at times. I loved how this book was dual POV. It was a tad repetitive at times and that was a little annoying but overall I am very much in love with this story. Curious to see what she does with it in the 3rd book set to come out this fall!

Grumpy Sunshine. Age Gap. Single Dad Babysitter. Small Town Romance. ONE BED. Oh the first 90% had me so giddy like a school girl obsessed with this fun, cute love story. And then the last 10% WRECKED ME. My goodness I was not expecting that. My heart is literally shattered. Not a HUGE fan of the cliffhanger… but I immediately ordered the second book when I was about 30% in not knowing what was coming and you better believe I am starting it as soon as Mr Amazon drops it on my porch.

This was such a shitshow. I almost DNF’d but knew it would be a quick read so I pushed through hoping it would get better… it sadly did not. The characters were so annoyingly bad. The plot of this story was entirely unbelievable. This was just a big no for me.
