This was a fun read. It does get a bit stale with the world building in some parts. But they do make pay offs in the end. Can’t wait to continue on with the book.

Honestly, some of the characters do come off as queer coded but that doesn’t detract or add to the story. Pretty much all the characters are awesome in their own way.

This was a somewhat enjoyable read.
This book wasn’t for me however. A quick read though.

This was an amazing read. It felt like a good 8 episode mini series as I was reading it. The middle got a bit long for me. But everything made sense towards the end.

This book really gives a different perspective on the mother gothel and Rapunzel tale that makes me want to know more about them.

I do recommend this book.

This was a fun read and a story that I enjoyed. I feel like the action peaks were not quite there to make it a 5 star book. Finished it in a day cause I liked the story.
Will read the next chapter of this story.

This was such a wonderful book. It was smart and well written. You get a lot in this historical medical fiction. A good snapshot of medicine of the time.

What I truly loved about the book is the level of snark and sass the main character has as well as the female characters. I found myself going “oh snap” and “he done told you”

Couldn’t wait to pick the book back up to continue to read.

What an amazing book. I could not wait to get to the end. I forgot this was the first installment of a series. I will be returning to the adventures of Alex and her nature life.

This was middle of the road book. The writing wasn’t bad and was easy to follow. Some small sections of the book seemed like they weren’t needed and really didn’t add anything to the overall story. It was enjoyable
