As much as our MC drove me crazy with her lack of subtlety, I LOVED this book. WHAT A STORY

*6 stars. This may be my favorite book I’ve read this year! AN HONEST ROMANCE WITH NO MISCOMMUNICATION. And with unique and interesting characters

This was a lot more than a romance. Our MC Anna is grieving her fiance's suicide and decides to sail off on their boat and take the trip they were planning together. The romance in this is DEFINITELY slow burn. We mainly get to be with Anna as she heals and becomes a new version of herself. I really enjoyed!! Very tropical. One thing I couldn't get past though was why our hero liked her so much?? I felt like he was ready to drop everything a little too fast as soon as they met. Would have loved more development between them but still great!

Ngl this book made me sweat. 100% action. I think that’s why I didn’t love it. There’s a lot of implausible stuff going on and for some reason it bothered me more in this book than in no exit which I really liked. I also didn’t love the narration of the present and the also present/future/past of Lena’s blog.

Scrolling through my read books and I haven’t written a review for Circe??? This book is top-tier-heart-soaring-1000-year-long-self-journeying perfection. I was transported to an island wilderness fit for an introspective goddess and I might be a different person after reading it.
