Really enjoyed this book. It was completely different from what I had expected from the blurb, but in a good way. Parts 2 & 3 were fast paced and there were twists in the plot up until the final page. Loved the authors writing style, and would definitely read other books by them. Nice and short chapters, with the book also broken into different parts for differing time periods

This book is full of factual information & makes for a very interesting read.
I learnt a lot from reading this book regarding history and I wasn’t even aware that people were executed in Britain until the 1960s!
I love a true crime read & this was great, but unfortunately just missed the mark for me.
Lots of information regarding different individuals & their crimes, but I feel that the book lacked order.
Personally, I think that it may have been improved, and easier to follow, if the events were told in chronological order.
There is a brief part towards the end of this book that talks about the executioners themselves which I really enjoyed reading, but I think that this could have delved deeper and also perhaps been told alongside the timeline of the executions.
A good book with lots of interesting factual information.
An easy read.
Read on kindle.
