Dnf. For now. The story was not bad but I'm starting to lose interest and life is too short for me to attempt to waste my time on what I think is a mediocre story at this time. Also didn't like the fact and the way they explained that the wife is the only one that has to work hard in the marriage to keep her husband faithful to her. I get that the setting and time is different from our modern world so they also have different values but this just doesn't sit well with me. I'm not too fond of the writing style either and the fmc first person narrator's made it worse.

I don't have a problem with miscommunication trope but Naomi has no good/valid reason for lying and when Nicholas tries to have a conversation she either lies, doesn't want to talk, or doesn't try to understand him. I also like hate to love and relationship in trouble trope but I don't vibe with this book. Maybe she grows later on but I already wasted my time getting to 50% into this book and it's been more than enough I can stand.

This was another fun adventure and I'm glad to see Cassidy, Jacob, and Lara again. I love that their friendship with Lara has become more solidified after this book. I'm sad that this is going to be the last book for this series for a while but at least Victoria Schwab left it on a good note and until next time!

The audiobook wasn't great but the story was enjoyable. I'm interested to see how her relationship with Curran progresses. Although, there were a few times where Kate annoy me I had to roll my eyes, because it sounds like she was trying too hard to be a badass for the sake of being a badass.

Finally done! I would have hated this series with a passion if I hadn't known about the love interest switch. With that said, this book was alright. I feel very lukewarm about Feyre as a character. There was nothing special, unique, or a quality about her that stands out to me. I'm mostly reading this trilogy so I can get to the Nessian book anyway.

It wasn't bad but I was struggling to finish it because of how boring it was. Just felt lackluster. Had to dnf since I could be spending my time reading better books.

I love the fact that Matthew and Diana are both in their 30s (Appearance for Matthew). It was so refreshing to read considering I rarely read books with MCs with this age. The story is also very interesting and quite unique to me. However, I'm not sure if I'll continue on with this series yet because love interests having guilt over a dead spouse is one of my biggest pet peeve. If I do decide to read the 2nd book, I'll probably wait until Halloween where I'm at least sure I'll be in the mood.

This was a fun ride and I'll definitely read the 2nd book to this. It's not amazing and I have a feeling it will be one of those forgettable books for me, but the ride is still fun.

This was cute and it was interesting enough that I couldn't stop reading. It's still not that amazing but I finally figured out what kind of penpal trope I can actually stand and might actually work for me. I like the fact that the characters hated/wasn't attracted/not aware they are attracted to each other/or at least don't obviously flirt until after they figured out each other's identities. This negates the cheating but-not-really-cheating scenario that always made me cringe in other penpal secret identities trope. I don't really know I'm still figuring this out. All in all, this book was pretty adorable and entertaining.

Like I said before, it's not like I really like this series but it's so charming and short and it's good to pass the time with. I do like the worlds this series take me though. It's kind of like being in a dream and I really like imagining the world of Confection.
