honestly i found this book to be perfect 
mona is great at clearly referencing classics stories like all’s well and snow white while still being charming and innovative
and much like alls well, she uses the magical components strategically to capture a complicated experience (chronic illness vs body dysmorphia/self-esteem/obsession) 
i will read anything she writes a million times over
