Tem is annoying.... Caspeon as well but like on a different level... there was so much sex in this book and just seemed pointless at times... like I get that the basilisk are sexual beings but like you don't need to write it out every chapter to produce a spicy book... I think about 200 pages could have been edited out of this book.
Some parts of it I enjoyed. Some parts I skimmed b/c like Idc about your 3 page argument that you had last chapter as well. and to me the "cliff hanger" is not enough for me to read another 500 page book just to get to the actual story line in the last 100 pages, when everything leading up to it was a TON of filler.
Was it as unhinged as everyone is making it out to be in my mind- yeah here and there, it was more annoying than unhinged. Its like the author was going after trying to write a super spicy book and it just took a wrong turn somewhere. Went with the motto of quantity of quality.

I enjoyed this book thoroughly! Lockly and Benedict’s relationship was such a joy to read about and how they supported each other. Also this made me super hungry like all the time because all of Lockly’s food sounded amazing!
This was a great balance of spice and romance.

This was such an adorable book! I was giggling and kicking my feet the entire read!
Riley and Nathan are adorable together bringing theater kids and gaming kids together. Having a love for both really made this whole story even better.
Dungeons & Drama reminded me how fun YA can be.

Story picked up right where we left off with the first book!
Loved meeting the council this book. Also the tricks Tory and Darcy get into this book made me giggle.
I’m so happy that the twins are finally taking a stand for themselves and coming into their own. Solid character progression through the entire book. The end scenes was completely badass! I am so ready to jump into the next one and can’t wait to find out what Order they are in.

(ARC REVIEW)
This book did take me a little bit to get into. I did keep in mind that this is the first book in a series and the author first romantasy book on top of it. It was interesting from the get go, the feeling of I cant put it down hit about half way through the story.
Auria and Bowen definitely had me in the slow-burn, he fell first vibes. I love the world building and the concept of Western meets Fantasy. There was a wide variety of characters and lots of ups and downs in the story.
Toward the end of the story I knew something big was going to happened.... and it was the cliffhanger. If you are looking to get into a new fantasy world this is a good one to dive into.

This book was an emotional roller coaster from the start! I loved how so many of the characters from the first book were in this one.
Sevy is up to her old ways of trouble finding her and man it doesn't stop. Revik was my favorite from the 1st book. This book was definitely Glor! Such a quirky character and really shows part of the cultural magic system that is in this book.
Very excited to see where this story goes come the 3rd book!

I loved this book! I laughed, cried, and got angry through the entire story. It sucked me in from the get go and I just couldn’t put it down.
The development of the main characters and even the side characters was beautifully written. I could see the small town in my head so clearly and the magic of it all.
Can’t wait to read more from Abby.

This book again hits it out of the park with the world building and the intensity of character relationships and progression.
Being able to pick up where we left off in the first book is such a relief as well. I am so glad I've been listening to this story for the sole fact that there feels like so much information you have to take in and absorb. Everything that is going on in the Geode, Essune and her relationships, Alabster, and then Nassun.
This is turning out to be one of the most interesting fantasy series I've read. Its not a just randomly pick and read series though. 10/10 recommend.
