Like You Hate Me by Bethany Winters

I simply didn’t like the hate sex, it didn’t feel like it was actually „hate sex“ and sex was basically the plot … aside from grief
immediately using „baby“ and „you’re mine“ was definitely something that  threw me off in regards of the trope; I also had trouble to believe that they both were in love with each other so many years ago already…

What I always thought was weird was
that Xavi was sober and Nate didn’t want him to go to a party where drugs are being used, but he doesn’t care about him being drunk etc in front of X…idk just something that felt off

The difficulty with books that are long is that sometimes the pace feels a bit off, some parts were a bit dragging,
The relationship development felt off as well.
There were some traits I liked, I enjoyed the roleplay scene and probably some of Millers and Ryans inner monologues.

River deserved all the love and healing ❤️‍🩹
This was a very emotional story about a lost and broken person who slowly finds friendship, trust and love.
