This is a fictional telling from the voice of a survivor of a serial killer who is never named but who is obviously meant to be Ted Bundy. This story really puts the focus on the victims and their surviving loved ones. I loved the writing and the audio narration was perfect. If you like true crime or those neverending Netflix shows about serial killers, you should read this and give the victim a voice instead!

I loved this book!  It was a feel good book for me.  An ode to books and lovers of books. It has been called Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory but with adults & with books.  I wanted to jump right into this book and live the story. If you like stories of found family and if you need something to just hug your heart, this might be a good pick for you!

Three timelines 1619, 1942, 2019.  It's the story of 3 women all facing their own difficulties and all having a little "witch" in them. I was really looking forward to this book, but ultimately I just wasn't overly interested in the characters.  It sort of dragged along until about the last 25%.  I really enjoyed that last portion.  It's rated highly though, so don't take my word for it!

Another re-read! I read it originally 5 years ago and loved it. But I really didn't remember the details only that it had a WTF ending. This edition has an extra chapter added to the end which slightly lowers the WTF factor... But not much.  😂 Still enjoyed it!!

This was a re-read for me, but the last read was probably 20+ years ago. It was eerie how much the storyline with the politician seemed almost foretelling of the recent political climate. 😳😳😳

Another solid mystery by this author.  This time she has left the world of lawyers and entered the world of elite private school moms and their 8th graders.  The characters aren't really likeable and the problems they create for themselves are a little ridiculous, but at the same time - I totally can believe things like this crap happen! Look forward to the next book from her!

This was the PERFECT week of Christmas read! My first book by this author, but I see that she has quite a backlist including at least a handful of Christmas time books.  I already know I will pick up another of those next year at the same time.  This was the story of 3 best friends who have known each other since college and now they are 40 and getting together for their annual weeklong book club trip (yes, you read that right... WEEK LONG).  All 3 friends have a little something going on in their personal lives that is getting worked through. They stay at this adorable Vermont Inn with the sweetest widowed single mom owner and her precocious 5 year old.  Their is friendship, books, parenting and a little romance and I just enjoyed every minute of it.

I had never read Cujo before - but I had seen the bad movie once.  Needless to say the book was much better.  What I am most excited about is the local in-person Stephen King book club that I found recently and this is the book we will be discussing for January!  All the books for 2024 are picked out so get ready to see more SK reviews from me in the future.  This was one of his books where it's not really supernatural, but the horror is real instead.  At just over 300 pages, it was a breeze to get through.
