It was good, but I think it could do with some editing. The family history parts were also just very long. This book reminded me of his other, I Know This Much is True, and honestly I liked this less because of all the similarities (they're even in the same universe). Buy very similar dynamics, characters, even the twists are the same. Also just a personal preference but I hate
fictional books about real life events. It really takes me out of the entire book because I can't help but think "okay but this probably never happened." Maybe just me, but it's like writing fan fiction about real life people, I find it weird
I still thought it was a really good book though. Luckily I liked his other book and I think he's a good author, I just think I would have liked this one more had I read it first. I feel like you don't really need to read both of them, haha.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 0%.
It is written stream of consciousness, all dialogue and description in big paragraphs with no dialogue tags. Very hard to read.
