Truly one of the worst things I have read in a while. This world makes absolutely no sense. There are annoying characters, confusing plot points, and no resolution :) I felt like a truly wasted my time with this work and that’s saying  something I can usually find at least one redeemable quality in a book but this had NONE

Did not finish book. Stopped at 33%.

I have to be in a certain mood to fully appreciate Jemisin’s writing. None of these stories are a quick read, they are complex and layered. Will return to this collection in the future.
