I'm not a big LitRPG reader in general, but stumbled across this series and had a good time with it. I'm not sure how it stacks up against others in the genre but for me, a 39 year old former MMORPG gamer, I had a lot of fun.

I think the halfway reveal is handled well and I really enjoyed the different Time POV in the back 3rd.

Very light, non story relevant spoiler , but a trigger warning for me there are two scenes in first person POV detail the killing of one animal and the attempted killing of a second. Cat and dog respectively
