For all the hype, it was just okay. I liked the consent and the Beauty and the Beast trope. I didn’t like that it felt dark. Not in the sense of a dark romance, but in the sense that the MMC’s life was SO depressing. And the fact that all his friends stayed friends with the woman who cheated on him??? Shame.

Loved this series in general. This one wasn’t as spicy which made me sad. Overall it was sweet though.

Hot dirty talk, pretty good plot, and I liked the found family trope.

You know it was a good book when your heart hurts when you finish. The spice was pretty good, and the characters were so loveable. The relationships between the MC’s and important people in their lives are fleshed out instead of it just being the two MCs. So good.

Adorable and no 3rd act breakup! Jamie is one of my favorite book boyfriends because of how well he takes care of and understands the FMC. It was a little cheesy, especially with the music. But also as a musician, music in books just generally gives me the ick. I thought the ending was absolutely adorable. The conflict with Jamie’s mom could have been more fleshed out. The climax and resolution of their conflict was one chapter. Same thing with his relationship with Rory. These were both supposed to have a lot of tension, but they were resolved way too easily.
