Everyone in the 99% should read this (ideally everyone in the 1% would read this but my hope and faith lie with the 99%). This is a very approachable and perspective shifting book. I believe even if you are firm in the "eat the rich" camp this will still shift your thinking and challenge you. It's motivating and a conversation starter whether you agree or not with all of her thoughts and perspectives. Highly recommend this book! I think it would be a great book club book. So many important conversations and thoughts, opinions to be had from this book!

I love Caitlin Doughty. She writes about death and death cultures from around the world. Her books are interesting, informative, morbid, absolutely hilarious and incredibly poetic. She hits it all! If Caitlin Doughy wrote it, I will read it!

Great book. I loved learning the history of a lot of the words we use and how they have been shaped and used to either uplift or belittle someone. This book was so incredibly fun to read, it is both informative and hilarious. It highlights how words have power and empowers women to take back and use our words with intention. Definitely recommend.

I absolutely loved this book! I listened to the audio like everyone recommended and I will say the same. Sci-Fi isn't my typical genre and science isn't really my jam so if you are similar the audio is a must. And even if those are your interests the audio books does a great job. I would suggest double immersion if you want to read the book.

This might be the best book I've ever read. It was phenomenal. I couldn't put it down. This is narrative nonfiction about the history of the IRA in the late 60's through The Troubles and beyond. As we go through the conflict through the actions of many key figures in the IRA the mystery of what exactly happened to Jean McConville plays out. She was a widowed mother of 10 who was disappeared by the IRA. This is such an incredible action packed book that is so thought provoking and perspective challenging. Everybody seems to be both Good and Bad (besides the British, like America, they are just pure evil). Fighting Imperialism will always be a righteous cause but this in depth look into the front lines of what that looked like is so tragic and incredible. Imperialism, Colonialism, Capitalism is pure evil and the perpetrators will always be the true evil. The ripple effect of its evil covers everyone. Highly, highly recommend. so many opportunities for deeper conversations.
