This book marked the end of my reading slump, I devoured it in 2 days! The pacing was perfect and the alternating POV worked really well for the story. I'm not a huge sci-fi reader but I have read a couple books from Max Gladstone's The Craft Sequence series and really enjoyed it, though I will say this is probably my favorite of his work.

And not to leave out Amal El-Mohtar! Their writing is absolutely gripping, gorgeous. Together really made for a novel that's ultimately a *sapphic* love story that transcends the ages (literally lol)
