I am not typically a King fan (just personal preference) but WOW. Just wow. This was a PHENOMENAL story. Had me on the edge of my seat til the last page.

If I’m being honest with myself, objectively, this book is terrible. But god damn if I didn’t immediately order the next book. I’ve told 4 random people about Haunting Adeline in the last 2 days before I even finished the book. Each time I’ve begun with “ok so it’s terrible but hear me out”. It made me feel icky, but also… I’m into it.

This is a dark romance. If you are easily triggered by any of the below things, this won’t be the book for you:
Non/dub con
Graphic violence
Human trafficking
Stalking
Child trafficking
Child sacrifice
EXPLICIT sexual situations including:
Gun play
Somnophilia
Bondage
Degradation

I wanted to give this one star, but after careful deliberation, I realized that I read the title of this book, saw a Tiktok by thegremlinlibrarian detailing what happened in this book, and then still chose to read this in its entirety. This is no one fault but my own. It delivers what I claims to. A summer long Dinosaur bang fest. Extra star for leaving my stunned.

Run of the mill smutty book. At the same time, I want to read the next one(s). Super quick read.

Still great, but underwhelming compared to the first 3, more of a “wrap up” feel, especially with how short it is. Worth the read still!
